MANIFESTO

FAITH

What is ‘God’s Will’ for my life? Why do bad things happen to good people? Why did God allow this to happen? Why me, God? Are you even listening? What is wrong with people? What is going on with this world? When are you coming back?

I ditched those questions. They matter not. The way I see it is that if the God I believe in is Himself in the sense that I believe, then He made the Laws. And His gambit is long-term, not temporary. Bad things happen to good people often to make them better people. When bad things happen, why not me? Who am I to deserve special treatment?

I believe in the Biblical God. If he exists as I believe he does, I cannot know his mind fully, I can only read, infer, intuit, and speak my mind, to include asking questions. I can choose to place him inside of a box to make things easier for myself, but I choose to learn more and expand my idea and understanding of him best I can.

He is, in fact, love but not in the sense that is conveyed in our world today. He is completely logical, with no negative. He precedes and proceeds that universe with order, doing that which foments possibility rather than feeling. For much of my young life, I found myself to be the center of this universe. As I have gotten older and grown, I have come to know that feelings lie, and being the center of the universe is the last thing I desire.
